VAN DUNK FAMILY WALKING PATH RIBBON CUTTING
SATURDAY, MAY 16, 2026 AT 10:00 AM.
The Van Dunk Family Walking Path will officially be dedicated on Saturday, May 16, 2026 with a ribbon cutting ceremony.  The ceremony will take place at 10:00 a.m. on the east end of the path by the gazebo.  Residents are invited to the ceremony and are encouraged to bring their bicycles, roller blades or a good pair of walking shoes. All are welcome to attend. Parking is at Wildflower Park, next to the Town Hall.

Gordon and Pauline Van Dunk had deep roots in the Holmen area and provided the vision to turn this sand farm field into the beautiful community resource it is today. This past summer, a half-mile walking path was constructed, which runs along the outside of the Town Hall Park.  The Van Dunk Family Walking Path project was funded through the powerline environmental fees.  

The walking path provides a safe environment for strollers, walkers, bikers and rollerbladers.
